Costly SMT machines place about 90% of the today’s industry components and this represents 75% to 90%, depending of the level of technology, of the total cost of the products. It’s very important but what about the rest of the manufacturing process. SMT represents only about 10% of the processes in the complete PCB manufacturing process. The quantity of involved process increases the complexity and the possibility for defects and errors especially with multiple operator manipulation.
PCB assembly is a very specialized area of manufacturing. It refers to specific standards. Prodesol SmarteManager handles BOM with parts designator and CAD data. Verification tools are included with BOM import functions.

SMARTeMODELER-EA is used to prepare the PCB information for shop floor assembly and quality control. It creates assembly sequence for the SmarteStation and paper work instructions. It includes assembly line optimizations.
The steps to create work instructions are:
Select process already defined in SmarteManager.
Imports a PCB picture (scan, pdf, gerber,...).
Maps automatically (CAD XY required) the parts on the PCB (top, bottom).
Creates work instructions.
Optimizes duration and line balancing
Releases work instructions
Print or use on SmarteStation
SMARTeVIEWER is a PCB viewer for the process created with SmarteModeler. It includes powerful parts filters and search functions
SMARTeSTATION is the software used by operators on the shop floor. It uses the work instructions created by the SmarteModeler. It includes powerful features such as pictures and multi-lingual text-to-speech, to guarantee 100% quality and efficiency . Hardware is available to increase productivity.

SMARTeOPERATOR is identical to SMARTeSTATION except that it is used with SmarteMES for operation data monitoring.
SMARTeQC-EA is a quality control module for PCB assembly. The graphic information comes from the SMARTeMODELER-EA and the quality control specification data is defined in the SMARTeMANAGER.

For every unit (PCB) serial number, every defect is recorded according to QC configuration
Statistics analysis is updated real time
2. Defects repair
For every unit (PCB) serial number, every defect recorded is listed for repair.
Repairs are completed and recorded.
3. First article analysis
Live reports and statistic graphs make it the ideal tool for first article operation.
Machine operators use the live Pareto analysis to make the required corrections.
Hardware:
USB microscope 20x to 400x is available to view and inspect details.
It also captures defects and repairs pictures for traceability and quality reports.

SHOP FLOOR MONITORING and SURVEILLANCE
SMARTeMONITOR is an asset and equipment monitoring system. It is configured according to your specifications. In comparison, SMARTeMES monitors pre-defined production data and SMARTeMONITORING monitors equipment using sensors such as temperature, power, counters, scanners. Video surveillance is available using web cams.
